Nokia has unveiled a new N-series multimedia phone, Nokia N82. N82 is the successor to the Nokia’s N95 phone and comes with similar features, but they are packed into a candy-bar shape, unlike N95’s slider design.
- N82, has a 5 mega pixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens, up to 10x digital zoom, and can capture MPEG-4 VGA video at 30 frames per second.
- Unlike N95, which has LED-type flash, N82 is equipped with a Xenon flash.
- It has A-GPS for navigation with preinstalled Nokia maps and all the standard packages come with a free voice guided navigation trial.
- Other features are Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G capabilities with HSDPA for faster Internet connection, Bluetooth with A2DP capabilities and miniUSB v2.0.
- N82 also has an integrated Stereo FM radio, TV output and document viewer. This Symbian smart phone also has a direct upload feature for images.
The phone measures 11.2 centimeters compared to N95’s 9.9 cm. N82 is also a bit thinner and weighs 10 grams. It comes with a full Web browser and various e-mail and calendaring applications.
There’s also 100 MB of internal memory and a microSD expansion slot for storing photos and videos. Nokia N82 is available now in key markets with an estimated, pre-tax, unsubsidized sales price of approximately Rs 25,810 (450 euros).
